The Mazda CX-5 features an extremely rigid body giving you world-class collision protection. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and SRS airbags are standard. The powerful disc brakes are equipped with ABS and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), which manages braking force according to vehicle load. Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) boosts stopping power the instant it recognises emergency braking. Screen integrated parking sensors (front and rear)
feature on GT and Akera. Audible alerts are supported by on-screen graphics showing the detected object
and its proximity when sensors are active.

A full complement of 6 airbags - front, front seat side, curtain - provide another layer of protection against physical shock and injury in a collision.

The body provides world-class collision safety performance. Extensive use of ultra-high-tensile steel gives strength with low weight, while the framework absorbs and channels energy away from the cabin.

AFS promotes safer driving by allowing you to see further at intersections or around curves at night. Taking inputs from the steering angle and vehicle speed, AFS predicts the shape of the road and directs the headlamps‘ beams in the direction of travel, illuminating the driving path.

DSC with TCS electronically controls braking force applied to each wheel to help prevent understeer or oversteer and maintain vehicle stability when cornering on slippery road conditions.
