The Swedish Way

The Volvo S90 and V90 is finally here, and the marque is set to take on a new era by offering the best design and innovation yet to bring out the best in everyday motoring pleasure

Two Bodystyles, One Identity

The S90 is Volvo’s new premium 4-door saloon whereas the V90 is the latest 5-door, 5-seat large premium estate alternative. Both cars are built on the new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), Volvo’s advanced modular product platform that will underpin all new Volvo cars in the 90 and 60 Series.

Saloon
Suaveness

Like its siblings, the XC90 and V90, the S90 carries the proud and confident face of Volvo’s new design language, along with classic Volvo styling cues. Key features include the iconic “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlight design, the new grille and Volvo Iron Mark, and the expressive use of the Volvo word mark on the rear.

Aristocratic Practicality

Sharing all of the same winning recipes found in both the XC90 and S90, the V90 on the other hand combines an already superb package with a dose of practicality, reinforcing its iconic status even further.

Scandinavian Interior

In the cabin, Volvo has taken cues from the success of its XC90 model and raised the bar with new details on the dashboard and instrument panel, including new air blades that stand vertically on each side of the Sensus user interface.

Heads Up Display

Progressive Technologies

Keeping your eyes on the road, the head-up display supplements the car's driver display and projects important information onto the windscreen.

Pilot Assist

Automatically maintains a set speed or distance to the car in front, as well as giving gentle steering inputs to keep you properly aligned within your lane markings.

The 360˚ camera makes parking and manoeuvring in narrow places a simple operation, providing a bird’s eye view of everything surrounding the car on the centre display.

360˚ Camera

From smooth driving to pure silence or maximum acceleration, every driving mode is a luxury experience, let alone in town, on the way to work, or just for the sake of it.

Arriving with two engine options for the Malaysian market, customers can start off by choosing the potent 2.0-litre turbocharged T5 motor that puts out 254bhp with 350Nm, or step up to the T6 AWD powerhouse with 320bhp and 400Nm readily available at your quickest disposal. All of our Drive-E powertrains are designed to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.

Our Drive-E four-cylinder powertrains have improved fuel efficiency by up to 35-percent compared to our previous powertrain line-up while also delivering weight savings of up to 45kg.

Redefined Driving Experience

Volvo’s leadership in the field of automotive safety is confirmed both in the S90 and V90. Volvo’s City Safety Technology, standard on all Volvo models, combines automatic breaking functionality and collision avoidance systems to cover a range of potential accident scenarios and help keep you safe.

City Safety’s functionality is further extended in the S90 and V90 with Large Animal Detection, designed to help avoid or mitigate collisions with large animals such as moose. An auto-steer functionality which helps to keep you on the road, called Run Off Road Mitigation, has also been added.

Volvo’s overall safety offering, called IntelliSafe, encompasses both active and passive safety systems and forms the groundwork for Volvo’s leadership in the field of autonomous drive. The V90 already offers semi-autonomous drive with Pilot Assist, which works up to 130km/h on clearly marked roads. Pilot Assist is another step towards Volvo’s Vision 2020, which states that no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo by 2020.

Safety Is Our Utmost Priority

Exquisite Sportiness

With its unique styling, the S90 and V90 R-Design makes its presence felt the moment you see it. The gloss black R-Design grille and lower grille and bumper inserts, 20-inch alloy wheels and integrated tailpipes create a car that stands out.

Matching the elegance of the S90 and V90 with the sporting spirit of R-Design, this is an estate that combines precision with control and keeps you comfortable. The Sport chassis’ tauter suspension, lowered ride height and retuned steering create the sharp responses and rapid reactions you’re looking for in a performance car.

Inside, R-Design Contour seats, a steering wheel with gearshift paddles, bespoke decor inlays and a charcoal headlining create a purposeful, focused mood. It’s an invitation to get in and drive, every day.

“Cars are driven by people. The guiding principle behind everything we make at Volvo, therefore, is and must remain, safety.”

- Assar Gabrielsson and Gustaf Larson, founders of Volvo.
