Legendary open road endurance races have long been the ultimate c‍‍‍hallenge of every enthusiast driver – the famous 1,000km Targa Florio, the 1,500 Mille Miglia, and, of course, the famous 24 Hour Le Mans that effectively covers enough distance to take you from Malaysia to Russia. While many races have now evolved to annual demonstration runs participated by those with petrol flowing in their veins, the beauty and romance of endurance drives remain unchanged. It was this spirit that fuelled our epic 2,000km return trip from KL to Phuket during Evo Enduro 2017, and this year, we are back for more.

EPIC DRIVE

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, but whichever direction we embark upon, it is usually the journey getting us there that we reminisce most fondly upon. Indeed, there were a fair share of great stories to tell from the adventure of Evo Enduro – from the car keys that were locked into the boot, to the nerve-wracking fuel warning lights flashing relentlessly as we hunted in seeming fruitlessness for a fuel station – all these memories unite and bind us in fond nostalgia. Even the Evo Enduro 2017 Whatsapp remains active today, a year on from the event.

1. FIRST BASE - Return to KL after makan breakfast at Sg. Petani
2. ONE NIGHT STAND - Overnight at Hat Yai (Centara Hotel Hat Yai)
3. ALL THE WAY - Zoom-zoom all the way to Hua‍‍‍ Hin on the day itself!
