This year’s activities included 4 driving workshops: Race of Passion, where participants had the chance to experience being Formula Driver for a day; SUV Passion, a comparative test which allowed participants to compare premium SUV tyre performance and learn the role that SUV tyres play in braking and handling; Off-Road Passion, where participants had to complete a course, with several "exercise stations" to test their skills and tyre performance in off-road and 4WD situations; and Thrilling Passion, an adrenaline-filled hotlap session on TCR racing cars driven by professional instructors, providing an experience like no other on the G-force thrill around Sepang's long bends.

The Michelin Passion Experience is an exclusive event that has been organized annually over the past two decades to provide selected guests a once-in-a-lifetime full immersion into Michelin’s world of passion for motorsports, mobility and gastronomy. This year, Michelin Passion Experience offered its invitees the opportunity to take on the role of a real racer at the iconic Sepang F1 International Circuit in Malaysia.
Taking place throughout September 2019, invitees were entitled to the exclusive privilege of driving and experiencing a range of unique custom and racing vehicles – including Single-Seater Formula 4, BMW X3, Ford Ranger, and Seat Leon MK3 TCR – under the close supervision and coaching of professional driving instructors and world-class professional racers, while enjoying the spirit of Michelin mobility and innovation.

At the SUV Passion workshop, attendees were among the first to experience a comparative test of the recently launched ‘MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 SUV’ – the latest addition to Michelin’s Pilot Sport range, designed specifically for SUVs. It is the result of Michelin’s joint development with major car manufacturers to offer outstanding grip and safety in all driving conditions - wet or dry, excellent longevity and robustness, optimized comfort and minimized noise levels for enhanced driving pleasure.

The day ended in style, with each invited guest receiving one set of the MICHELIN Guide Gourmet Gift Box, created by two Michelin Star restaurants in Thailand: Mezzaluna (2 Michelin Star) and Saawaan (1 Michelin Star), as a means to discover Michelin’s passion for gastronomy. Influencers and media members were also invited to join an exclusive dinner, prepared by Chef Sun Kim from one-Michelin-Star Meta Restaurant in Singapore that offered classic French-inspired cuisine with an Asian twist in a stylish setting. It was a truly memorable experience for all guests!
