BUYING TIPS
SURVEYING
• Do proper research.
• Know common problems of the car model you're buying.
• View as many examples as you can.
NEGOTIATING
• Ask about processing fees.
• Know the full on-the-road price before shaking hands.
INSPECTION
• An honest dealer with nothing to hide will not mind having the car inspected by a third party workshop.
• It is normal for the dealer to request for a deposit first.
• Discuss and agree upon scenarios that would require a refund.
• Wear & tear are not valid reasons to cancel the deal.
• Signs of serious structural damage, a leaking engine or transmission are definitely causes for alarm. Your choice whether to refund or use them as excuses to re-negotiate the car's price.
